Activity

  • Golf – There are 8 courses in the Morbihan region. They vary from the small but challenging 9 hole Rimaison Course at Pontivy to the Championship Saint Laurant at Ploemel (45 mins) where the French Open and Professional Championships have been held. A Pass Formule Golf allows you to play different courses at a discounted price.
  • Mini Golf – Great for children and adults. Both Cleguerec and Mur de Bretagne have courses.
  • Fishing – The rivers and lakes of Brittany are clean and unpolluted and hold virtually every freshwater species. As a Republic, the rivers of France belong to the people and you can fish any river system for a small license fee. The lakes at Lenvos are fed from the ground water and so remain private for our guests. We have boundaries with the River Blavet / Nantes to Brest Canal and small trout stream so you can fish the river system without leaving the property.
  • Bird Watching – Lenvos itself has several varied habitats from deciduous and pine woods to marsh and meadow. It is not necessary to move far to see or hear more than 40 species of European birds. King fishers, owls, woodpeckers, gold and firecrests are all common. There are also several coastal bird reserves within an hours drive on the Gulf of Morbihan at Senne and at St Brieuc on the North coast.
  • Cycling – Most of the country roads are quiet and in good condition offering cyclists an unending variety of good safe routes. The Tour de France is a regular July visitor and many guests enjoy riding the routes of their heros. There are also several areas offering well marked Mountain Bike trails and for the family or less energetic, the gentle gradients of the canal towpath or disused rail track are easy, safe and bisect the area. Bike hire is available from Pontivy and Mur de
    Bretagne.
  • Kayak on the Canal Canoe / Kayak – Explore the river Blavet or Lake Guerledan. Boats and equipment can be hired locally on location.
  • Walking – As well as good walks to be had starting at Lenvos, there are marked routes over a series of public footpaths throughout the woods, forests and farmlands nearby. Several pass points of interest such as Megaliths or shrines. Suggested walks for various abilities are available from the local tourist offices.
  • Skate boarding – Pontivy has a good municipal skate park by the river – free.
  • Lake swimming – Lake Guerledan is popular but cold. There are various sandy beaches some with bars / restaurants.
  • Water-skiing – Lake Guerledan was the venue for the French Championships in 2003. Many visitors bring their own boats and pay a small launching fee (dependent on HP). We have suitable areas at Lenvos for safe parking of your craft.
  • There is a ski school at Beau Rivage. Boats and lessons can be hired in season.
  • Tennis – Cleguerec has municipal courts, as does Pontivy. We have contacts with professional coach Mark Furnis who is world ranked and is available for coaching sessions at the Tennis Federation Courts in Pontivy.
