Fishing at Lenvos and in the Area

We have two lakes at Lenvos which are free for guests to fish and no license is required.

The lakes are not stocked but hold a balance of wild coarse fish.

There are no huge specimens but it’s good sport for anglers of all ages and abilities.

There are plenty of Roach, Rudd and perch and some elusive Tench in the top lake. There are pike and some big Tench, Bream and a few wild carp in the bottom lake.

Fishing elsewhere

There is some great fishing locally. The river Blavet/ Canal de Nantes à Brest carries a good stock of coarse fish. The Blavet and several smaller streams locally also contain wild trout. Many villages including our own, Cléguérec, have lakes which can be fished for free with a general Carte de Pèche (Fishing License).

Fly Fishing
The Rivers Blavet, Scorff, Sarre have good fly water for trout and Pont Neuf Reservoir is fly only for Rainbow Trout between September and June. Many keen locals also fly fish for Pike and fish the coastal waters for Sea Bass.

If you want to learn to Fly Fish, tie flies or brush up on your casting technique, Phil has years of experience and tuition can be given by arrangement.

Carp Fishing
Carp grow well in the warmer French climate and several local lakes hold good stocks of big fish which are not over-fished.

Fishing outfits for use on our lakes are available to hire by the day or week. Replacement floats, hooks and weights are also on sale.

If you have any specific questions, please ask and we’ll try and point you in the right direction for what you’re looking for.
